PATNA: Students of A V N School at Rajiv Nagar and St Columbus School at Kadamkuan vandalized their school campuses and created ruckus at the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)'s regional office on Bailey Road for their failure to provide results of Class X students. A V N School was recently disaffiliated by CBSE for failure to meet its guidelines.
The A V N school students alleged they were called by the school authorities to collect Class X results on Tuesday, but were shocked not to see any soul on the office premises.

CBSE regional officer Rashmi Tripathi, however, told this correspondent the results of A V N School have been withheld by the Board as the school authorities failed to submit information about the students on time. "The results will be distributed only after school authorities follow the guidelines and submit the required documents," she said and added St Columbus School is not affiliated to CBSE and, as such, she did not have any information about any such school.
On knowing about the facts at the CBSE's regional office, hundreds of students along with their family members assembled at the two schools, broke windowpanes and set afire the furniture on their campuses. Police reached the spots and brought the situation under control.
Police said no FIR was lodged in connection with the incidents. They denied any major damage to the property of the two schools.
